I offer wild brook trout trips on the Tug Hill. These trips are catch and release fly fishing trips. If you are looking to keep fish to eat there are a few streams we can fish that are stocked annually. I am normally all for one keeping their legal limit of fish to take home. However, these streams are very special as they hold some of the most native trout found in the state. These fish are naturally reproducing strains that haven’t been contaminated by hatchery fish.
I offer these trips from May through September as long as there is good cold water. During hot or dry times I will not bother these fish. They are stressed enough during these times without fisherman bothering them. This being said May, June and September are the best months to book a brook trout trip.
I also offer a remote float trip. This trip is 7 plus miles from put in to take out with very little in between. You must be in good physical shape and not have any major medical issues. If there is a problem during this trip it is going to be a long time before help can arrive. Due to the nature of this trip it is a 10 plus hour trip and the price is $500 for 1 or 2 anglers. This trip is very water dependent. You must be flexible with your dates as it could be good today but not tomorrow. Call for more details.
